The Olympics team bronze medal and the individual World Championships bronze of last year are not enough for the Wolverhampton gymnast, who is now setting his high targets for the next Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. “I’d like to think that we could win a team gold medal and also individually I’d like to be hopeful I will make it to the vaults, high bar and possibly floor as well. Then if I can do that, I could make the final.” As they take place every four years, the Commonwealth Games are one of the most awaited sports events on the calendar and everyone’s hopes are high despite the strong pressure. “We hope that in anyone’s game we can win some individual medals for team England,” says Thomas confidently.
