Podcast produced in December 2015 as part of my Bachelor of Arts at City University London. Air pollution is putting children’s health at high risk as over a thousand schools in London are located in dangerously polluted areas. The GLA- the organization running London- has been urged to do something but in a city with so many cars and so many schools what is there that can be done? Ludovica Tronci reports. In his 2015 London Plan, the Mayor Boris Johnson said he was committed to turn the capital into a more environmentally friendly city, tackling air and water pollution. But a leading charity is now claiming that there’s a major pollutant that’s being ignored: textiles. Our reporter Zhuliyana Boyanova has gone out to find more about it and to look at an innovative solution to the problem. Produced by: Karolina Kramplova, Ludovica Tronci, Zhuliyana Boyanova. |
